Tim S. Winkler, a board-certified Physician Assistant, brings over 15 years of diverse medical experience to Inspiration Health. With a strong background in sports medicine and orthopedics, Tim excels in providing comprehensive patient care, from diagnosis and treatment to pre- and post-operative management. His extensive experience includes performing as the first assist in more than 3,500 spine and orthopedic surgeries.
Tim’s medical career began as an Emergency Medical Technician and Firefighter, where he honed his skills in emergency response and patient care. He later transitioned to a Physician Assistant role, working in various reputable medical centers in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach.
At Inspiration Health, Tim is dedicated to helping individuals overcome substance use disorders through Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and mental health medication management. His approach to patient care is rooted in compassion, evidence-based practices, and a deep commitment to supporting clients in achieving lasting recovery and mental well-being.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, where he graduated with honors. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Tim’s comprehensive medical expertise and dedication to patient-centered care make him a valuable asset to the Inspiration Health team.
